Douglas J. Edwards, C-ATM, is the director of the Institute for the Advancement of Behavioral Healthcare, the behavioral healthcare field’s largest media and event producer. Its signature events include the National Conference on Addiction Disorders; Rx Drug Abuse & Heroin Summit; Cocaine, Meth & Stimulant Summit; Treatment Center Investment & Valuation Retreat; and Treatment Center Executive & Marketing Retreat. He has been serving the behavioral healthcare community since 2000, and previously served as editor-in-chief of Behavioral Healthcare and Addiction Professional magazines. Edwards has moderated high-level panel discussions at conferences across the country with VIPs such as members of Congress and the White House. He presents on marketing best practices for the field and in 2018 earned the Behavioral Health Association of Providers’ Certificate in Addiction Treatment Marketing (C-ATM). He earned an MBA from Franklin University and his undergraduate degree in English and Sociology from the University of Akron.
