In the changing climate of the behavioral healthcare industry, treatment centers are facing an uphill battle in finding patients in need of help. While there is no shortage of people in need, it’s become more difficult for treatment centers to help patients find their way into these facilities. Due to decreased census and unfavorable reimbursement rates, many treatment centers have been forced to reduce their marketing budgets and decrease their visibility at addiction industry events. While these events do not garner the same attendance as in years past, event marketing can still provide exponential returns on investment when selected with care, prepared for in advance, worked with a plan and followed up upon appropriately.
